[*] Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil Review

I've struggled with maintaining healthy hair for as long as I can remember. It's always been dry, thin and dull, no matter what 'holy grail' products I used on it - nothing ever really made a difference, to this very day. Now I know I can't complain much as I dye my hair every few months and have done for the past 5 years or so but other than that, I actually try to take good care of my hair ever since I had a minor bald patch moment that scared the living shit out of me. So when Forest & Shore reached out for me to try their new Hallelujah Hair Oil, there was no way I was gonna say no! Believe it or not, I've never tried using hair oils as my hair is prone to getting greasy really quickly so I've steered clear up until recently and I'm glad I took the leap and tried this product out.

Who are Forest & Shore?
Forest & Shore are a new brand that specialize in natural and organic plant based products. Their Hallelujah Hair Oil is their first product to be released so far and is cruelty-free and vegan. This formula is the perfect solution for anyone with dry, damaged hair. The penetrating oils will work deep into the hair shaft repairing broken, brittle hair & smoothing the follicles leaving you with silky, conditioned locks.

The Packaging
I really like the simplicity of the packaging they've gone for, it's pretty and not too over the top as some other brands have done in the past. The design of flowers and botanicals on the box fit perfectly with their branding and the product comes in a sturdy glass bottle that feels matte. I received the 100ml bottle which has more than enough product to last me for quite a while so I'm more than happy.

The Scent
The scent is a blend of coconut, sesame, olive, sunflower & arnica, scented with rosemary & lavender so it's full to the brim of natural ingredients. Personally I found the rosemary and lavender scents overtook the others and were a bit too strong for me at first but after my nose adjusted, it's actually very calming and fresh.

How To Use It
Having not used a hair oil before, I wasn't sure how you'd apply it as I've seen a lot of others come in a pump bottle which seemed quite messy to me but I was pleasantly surprised to discover this has a pipette which makes things real simple and clean.
You can use it two ways:
Post Hair Wash - dispense 2-5 drops into the palm of your hand and evenly apply to the mid lengths and ends of towel dried hair. Brush through, dry and style as normal.
Intense Hair Reboot - dispense 2-3 full pipettes into the palm of your hand, massage into the scalp, mid lengths and ends of your hair. Brush through, get some sleep and wash out the next day.

Does it work?
I've tried applying the product both ways and so far I prefer the overnight intense hair reboot as it made the most difference after the first try. I ran it through my hair before bed and put my hair up into a bun whilst I slept, then thoroughly washed it out in the morning. It resulted in my hair feeling smoother and more hydrated as well as my dreaded split ends didn't look quite as obvious which is a huge win. Using it after every hair wash has also been working but I've had a few mishaps where I've applied just a tad too much and it's made my hair look greasy so I'd recommend sticking to the minimum since a little goes a long way anyway!

Conclusion
Having tried this out for a few weeks now, I can confidently say I would definitely recommend it if you have dry and damaged hair. It's become an integral part of my hair care regime and has already made a noticeable difference in such a short amount of time which I'm over the moon about :) Don't take my word for it though, give it a try yourself! You can buy it from Amazon [here] for £15.99 or buy it directly from the Forest & Shore website [here] for £14.

Mini Disney Store Haul

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I love a good Disney Store haul. I've been SO good recently and haven't bought anything online or in store for over a year (despite being gifted a giant Pua soft toy and Dumbo outfit for Cassius when he was 3 months old) so when I got paid last week I figured fudge it, let's treat myself and here we are :) It's only a mini haul, although my bank account doesn't seem to think so, but I wanted to share the bits I bought as I haven't done any Disney posts in such a long time and they are too cute not to post!

Lilo and Stitch is one of my all time favourite Disney movies and I've been wanting to buy a Stitch plushie for god knows how long but could never decide on which one - until I saw this beauty. Angel is Stitch's female counterpart and love interest if you aren't familiar with her and oh isn't she gorgeous? I love the Hawaiian theme and she is so ridiculously soft and cuddly, I couldn't resist buying her.

I have so many Disney themed baby clothes for my son that it's almost a bit worrying, but the one thing I don't have now that he's grown out of his Buzz and Woody costumes that our friend Alex kindly gave us, are any Toy Story clothes. I struggled to decide which one to buy as they have another adorable Toy Story baby grow on their website that I really liked but this one has Bullseye and the little aliens on it so it was the winner. The material feels really soft and gentle and the design is so vibrant and cute that I can't wait to show him off wearing it :)

I'm so in love with the Classic Animated Mugs, I have the 101 Dalmatians and Chesire Cat mugs already which unfortunately aren't sold online anymore and have been dying to add another one to my little collection. The Aristocats is huge at the moment, mainly for Marie as Primark have the most darling collection dedicated to her out but I don't have any disney merch of all three of them so I was really happy to have found this featuring Marie, Toulouse and Berlioz. The other Classic Animated mugs currently online include Stitch, Bambi, Mickey Mouse and The White Rabbit.

And lastly I got a cute little sticky note set to help me keep on top of my blogging duties as I'm terrible at writing various bits down in notepads and then forgetting which notepads contain what - I blame the baby brain still 😅 The Oh My Disney range has some really cute bits from stationary to clothes to swimming accessories but these called out to me the most. They're only small but they feature 7 different designs: Mickey and Minnie Mouse, The Lion King, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Bambi, Finding Dory, The Cheshire Cat and Oh My Disney. Perfect for jotting down little ideas or things to do throughout the day!

Now it all depends on whether or not I can go back to not indulging for another year but we shall see. What are some of your favourite things from the Disney Store?
